Hello readers today I'm going to be making a new blog post about English. Today we are looking at a work called calypso, calypso a kind of West Indian (originally Trinidadian) music in syncopated African rhythm, typically with words improvised on a topical theme. Our task is to listen to the music of calypso and describe what we imagine. When I close my eyes, I see the big blue sky above the sea with the white clouds and some seagulls flying around. They are pretty much the same, they use the same instruments such as drums, bass guitar, electric guitar, keyboard, lead vocals, horn section. Metaphor: His guitar sounds like its getting strummed by a foot, This is the end of my blog post, please comment on my blog post and give me some feedback about my writing.
I am a student at in Uru Mānuka. In 2020 I was a year 8 and in 2021 I will be a year 9. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Please note....some work won't be edited - just my first drafts, so there may be some surface errors. I would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas.

Pontoon bridge.
Hello readers today I'm going to be making a new blog post about reading. We watched a video about pontoon bridges, our task is to answer the questions Miss Birtch has assigned us. Here is what I did. Why were these bridges created? So an army or someone to cross a river, it was used in the civil war to cross the rivers to the South. In 1000 BC the Chinese people used pontoon bridges to help big animals move from places.
How are they built? They were built by Boards placed in small boats.
How are they reusable? They folded and use again when crossing rivers.

The Trolley.
Hello readers today I'm going to be making a new blog post about ESOL. Our task was to make a reflection about the book we have read. The book we read was "The Trolley", It was a really good story and I learnt a lot out of it such as appreciating what we have now. The story was about a mum making a trolley for their kids because she couldn't afford other gifts for them. A week before Christmas, Tania looked in her bankbook and said to herself, 'I won't be able to buy my kids any Christmas presents this year because I can't afford it.' Our task is to Write a diary account about the Christmas trolley from the point of view of one of the children (Hoani / Miria) Dear diary, today my mum gave us a present, she made a trolley. I really appreciate her making a trolley for me and Miria. I know that she worked hard for it because she worked while we we're sleeping in the middle of the night.

Hannah Hoch.
Hello readers today I'm going to be making a new blog post about Art. We have been researching about Hannah Hoch, she was a really famous artist in the 1900s. Our teacher taught us a new method to create a DLO using a google doc. I think it's really creative..

She is from Germany, she was alive when Hitler was still ruling germany and killing people such as jews, people of color and the gay. Types of Energy.
Hello readers today I'm going to be making a new blog post about different kinds of energy. So, what is energy? Energy is in everything – it is often described as 'the ability to do work'. There are 8 different kinds of energy. Heat energy, kinetic energy, sound energy, light, electric energy, elastic potential, chemical potential and the gravitational energy.
Our task is to explain what they are and what they do...
The heat energy the transfer of energy in materials from the random movement of the particles in that material. The greater the random movement of particles the more heat energy it has and produces.
Temperature is a measure of the heat energy of a material.
Kinetic energy, it energy which a body possesses by virtue of being in motion. In simple words, it allows anything to move..
Sound energy, Sound energy is vibrating particles. because it is based on vibrations, sound energy must travel through something, if you have a vacuum is space such as a black hole there could be no sound, it is really interesting because a black hole is a really large event that can happen in space but it has no sound.
How Cool is that!..
Light energy, Light energy is a kind of kinetic energy capable of allowing lots of forms of lights visible to the human eyes.
The sun produces the light that we see on earth, it doesn't just produce light, it also produces heat and electrical energy. Electric energy, electric energy is energy derived as a result of movement of electrons. So what are electrons?
It is a stable subatomic particle with a charge of negative electricity, found in all atoms and acting as the primary carrier of electricity in solids.
Elastic energy is an energy that produces energy by stretching something. for example stretching a rubber band..
Chemical energy can be described for a lot of things, chemical energy is energy stored in the bonds of chemical compounds.
An example of storage media of chemical energy include batteries, food, and gasoline.
At last, gravitational energy, As you may have guessed, gravitational energy is energy associated with gravity. It is the potential energy stored by an object because of its higher position compared to a lower position.
Gravity is the force by which a planet or other body draws objects toward its centre.
Stop motion.
