ESOL

 Hello readers today I'm going to be making  a new blog post about ESOL. When we we're all sitting down and ready to listen, our teacher Mrs. Truter read a book without even warning us. She didn't even tell us the title of the book!. She sat down on the chair that was in the middle of the room and said are we all ready? The story seems to be about a boy named Noah talking about his family. The first sentence of the books was "My dad fell in love with my mum when she was eating pie". His dad was a surfer.

 He memorized the times her crush is on her job, and he comes every time she is working. He told if his that knew if he wanted to be a photographer in the age of 13, when his father first held a camera. He thinks she is  fearless and really cute, after he surfed he waited for his crush to ask him out. They became together, she was his very first girlfriend and the only girl he has ever been with. They got married on their backyard and moved to Kenya, they had their honeymoon their. Kenya is a country in East Africa with the coast line on the Indian Ocean.

Kenya is famous for their wildlife, and 3 of the most famous ones are lions, rhinos and elephants. The kid telling the story has 2 brothers and one sister and also mom and dad. I think the story will be about their family going around the world cruising.  I also think it might be about someone dying. I really hope the book is about drama and action. I know a magpie is a kind of bird, it is black and white and really small too. Quote, " I guess we al kinda knew that our life was perfect and that we wouldn't change a thing. But sometimes you don't get that choice, do you? Sometimes stuff happens that would do anything to try to avoid. But you can't. And that's what happened to us. I think that quote is about somethings things you should avoid but you can't avoid it. 

ESOL 23 march 2021

 321 RIQ. It's what we should put and do on our blogs. The first one is 3R which means 3 Recalls. Recall means what we remember and that's what we put on. The next one is 2I, It means 2 insights. Insight is what we learnt and understand we need to put 2 insights on our blog. The last one is 1Q, which means 1 question. 1 question I have about something I didn't understand or still want to know more about.  So 3 recalls, three things that I remember is doing the hot potato, we write one word and pass the paper, we tried to make a good story using the hot potato method. It turned our really bad, there was a lot of negative in it like the words gay and bisexual. Another one that I can remember is making a story use letters a to z for example you first letter is a and the next letter is b. It keeps going on like the alphabet and you need to make a story using it. The last one that I can remember is reading the hot potato stories, with the negative it still was really funny but our teacher didn't like some of it. I learnt to cooperate more with others and I also gained confidence by talking to new friends. Have you played hot potato before? ESOL STORY

 Hello readers, today I'm going to be making a new blog post about ESOL. Today we did a really challenging challenge. We need to put in the 3 words in a story, the three words are the words that Miss Truter wrote.  Here is the story that I wrote. Today we learnt a word and it is called contemplate, contemplate means look thoughtfully for a long time at. I went to lunch time and talked about the word contemplate with my friends. I asked them what they contemplate. My friend Jack said that he contemplate his image in the mirror. We all went back to our classes and had Wananga, we learnt a word and it is called courageous, courageous means brave. We need to be courageous or brave because acting bravely generally makes us feel good because it involves mastering our emotions. We did some work on a blog post and wrote about what we're scared of the most. I wrote down that I was scared of big spiders because they look disgusting. Wananga was our last period of school, so after Wananga, we all left the school and went home. When I was biking, I saw some people selling some cornucopia. A cornucopia is a kind of  container that is shaped like a goat horn. It looks really cool because it’s an artwork. I think that the workers that are working really hard so I bought 2 cornucopias to put our fruits into.  I went home and I showed them to my parents and they didn’t know what it was. I explained to them about what a cornucopia is.  

ESOL.

 Hello readers today I'm going to be making a new blog post about ESOL. Today is my second 3rd session for ESOL and I can rate it 10 out 10. Being in this class is really fun because we get to play ESOL games with our friends. On our second session on ESOL our teacher needed to go the hospital  that her daughter is in. We had some free time, it was so fun being with MR Wilson. We had an agreement that every Friday we are going to be making a new blog post. Our task is to write about what we love to do in the weekend. For me, I really love going to my friends house and invite them to play basketball with me. Sometimes I just like staying in my friends house and play some games. Sometimes in thea weekend, my dad teaches me how to play the guitar. I also like playing video games at home with my friends.  Sometimes every weekend, my friends families go to our house to have dinner. We talk to each other and tell them stories of what we do at school. When they come over, they sometimes have a sleepover. We sleep really late and  we wake up really late too. Sometimes we go to church for 2 hours, we learn about the bible. Sometimes  in the weekend I sleep if i'm tired from school. This weekend I'm planning to stay at home and spend my time with my family, we can watch movies while eating snacks. This is the end of my blog post and I hope you liked it. BYE!!!

ESOL Feb 12

 Hello readers today I'm going to be making  a new blog post about ESOL. Today is the 12th of February and it's my first day. I think this class it all about Learning to be confident to speak English and also to get connected with other students. Today we are learning about the 321 RIQ. It's what we should put and do on our blogs. The first one is 3R which means 3 Recalls. Recall means what we remember and that's what we put on. The next one is 2I, It means 2 insights. Insight is what we learnt and understand we need to put 2 insights on our blog. The last one is 1Q, which means 1 question. 1 question I have about something I didn't understand or still want to know more about. ESOL means  English for Speakers of Other Languages.
