Art Hurumanu.

Hello readers today I'm going to be making a new blog post about our art hurumanu. This is our last week in this hurumanu. In our hurumanu we have been learning to make our own characters and sharing our own ideas. The teachers made groups, I have been in Bryce's group and its really fun here. Our ideas fit to each other. Our ideas are kayaks, river, mountain, fish. We mixed all of our ideas and then this is what we did. We made clay characters, we made two kayaks and two heads we didn't put the body. Our characters looked so successful and they also look funny. We made the screen cast of our story. It is about two boys going to the river and going kayaking, they raced and Jill stopped because she saw a fish, she stopped because she is scared of it. Jill went to him to get the fish away. This is all our ideas mixed together.

What we did: stop motion, manaakitanga, In manaakitanga this is joy groups work.I was going to school  at 8:30 and then suddenly I saw my teacher heading to school too. I called him and then asked him if I can help him, he said ‘’yes please’’. I helped him bring his things to school. Jake saw me, Jake is one of my best enemy at school. He was looking at me so sharply and I was not scared because I was with my teacher. When we arrived at school my teacher said thank you.Jake looked a little bit jealous and he followed me to the court he punched me on the tummy and then he ran away. 

I went to class for the school time, when I was working, he threw some paper on me I was so angry that time but I relaxed. Morning tea has come I looked every side and on my back he wasn’t following me. I was so glad that he wasn’t following me I ran to the cafe and then bought a pizza he saw me again. When I was going to bite on my pizza he smacked the pizza and it fell on the ground I was so angry and I shouted to loud as I can on his face. The teacher saw me shouted on his face and we got to referral, when we are in referral my teacher called my mom and told her I shouted on my classmates face. when I was going home my mom told me what happened at school.

 I told her the truth, she went to school the other day and talked to my teacher. She asked my teacher about what happened and the teacher didn’t say what I told my mom. She didn’t think I'm telling the truth and she was very angry with me. We went home, she told me if he bully you one more time punch him in the face. I went to school the other day and he was following me again, I went to another place, I think no one can see this place I wrestled him and I kicked his tummy. He cried. 

The other day he said sorry to me and we’ve been friends I also said sorry to him because I punched him. In the other days I tought  him how to play basketball and he got good at it. Now basketball is his favourite sport. We play it all the time we got in the basketball team for free. If it's not for free we must have payed $200. The teacher saw us how good we are. that's why he got Jack and  me to the team for free. After all that happened, he has been my best friend. And this is what I did on manaakitanga. 

 On stop motion we made our group characters we made two boys kayaking in the river and then they tried to race to the buoy but suddenly there was a fish. One of the friends is scared of the fish he called his other friend and then  told  him to paddle.

What I learned: I learned how to use Stop Motion in this Hurumanu and I also learned how to participate in groups.

What I enjoyed:

I enjoyed working in a group because I haven't always worked in a group this is what I enjoyed in this Hurumanu.

What I found difficult: what I found difficult is when my group is gone or absent, sometimes there is two people in the group. Even though my teammates is gone we still finish the work that we need to do.

Hello readers today I'm going to be showing you about fantastic mr fox.

What are we doing this term for reading? We are doing the fantastic mr fox.

By only looking at the cover, what can we infer or guess about the story. I think mr fox is dancing on the cover and also I can see little fox they might be his children.

After reading the back cover, what do you think this story about? Mr fox robs chickens from bogging and turkey and ducks from bounce and beans.  I think he is stealing this chickens for his family to eat.

Using your prior knowledge, why do you think I have selected this book for us to read? I think this book is fun and interesting that's why I think you chose this book for us to read.

AIM: TO LOOK AT THE WATER CYCLE AND HOW CLIMATE CHANGE IS AFFECTING IT.

Definition:

Scientific words:

• Evaporation. When water is heated by radiant energy it turns into water vapor.
• Transpiration. Evaporation from plants.
• Condensation. When water vapor cools, molecules join together and form clouds.
• Precipitation. When clouds get heavy the waters falls as rain, sleet, hail, or snow.
• Acidification: the action or process of making or becoming acidic.

We will be conducting an experiment that looks at the different ways that climate change is affecting the water cycle.

THE WATER CYCLE EXPERIMENT

.Bag 1: Normal Water cycle.

Bag 2: Water cycle with CO2 added: like Oceans in climate change.

Bag 3: Water cycle with ice added: like Antarctica in climate change.

Material:

1.  Water.
2.  2 Bag.
3.  Food Colouring.
4.  Soda water.
5. Litmus paper.
6. Vivid.
7. Sand.

Steps:

 

1.   Get vivid and the bag from the teacher.
2.  Draw the water cycle on the bag.
3.  Get 1 cup of water or soda water from the teacher and put it in the bag.
4.  2 drops of food colouring into your bag.
5. Hang the bag onto the window.
6. In bag 2 I add litmus paper

Hurumanu Art

Hello readers, today i'm going to be making a new blog post about Hurumanu art. In Hurumanu we have been learning about making our own characters and make stop motions with them. After making our own clay characters the teacher put us in groups. We liked each others idea's and we put them together and it came out very nice. Our idea is kayaking in the river and a hill with it and also some fish on the water. We haven't dome our stop motion yet but we are going to do it if our group is full and all together. Today i'm only with Shane because my other teammates are absent maybe they are still having fun in the holidays and only me and Shane are  doing all the work here at school.
