Freak the Mighty.

Hello readers today I'm going to be making a new blog post about Freak The Mighty, today we are going to be starting an activity about reading books. Out of 3 books Freak the Mighty was the most interesting one. I'm going to be talking about my impression for the front book and how I predict the book will be about. 

On the trailer, there was 2 kids that are always getting bullied. They met one night and then they became friends. They are called Freak the Mighty together. I predict that the book will be about them going to be friends with the people who are bullying them. And I think Freak the Mighty will save them from something. My impression for the front cover was inspired because they we're looking at the sun while celebrating. I think they have done something good. Here is the picture of the book :

Business and enterprise.

 Hello readers today I'm going to be making a new blog post about Business and enterprise. We have been selling ice cream, we bought 2 gallons of ice cream and 48x of ice cream cones. It costed 19 dollars, we put our table outside then arranged our products. We had a sale, last time it was 3 dollars now it's $1, There was a lot of people buying our product cause it was cheap. I was the financial manager so I took care of the money. We sold 34 ice cream in 15 minutes, we ran out, so we bought the other company's products. After interval, the Hornby primary people came, it was so messy after when they came. We had to clean up our tables, we picked rubbish outside and waited for lunchtime. The Fox and the Crow - Characterizations DLO

Hello readers today I'm going to be making a new blog post about reading, today we are making a DLO about the fox and the crow. We are going to be looking for the themes or the morals of the stories, Morals are valuable lessons that we have learned. This week we have been understanding and learning about Different Characterizations. We have been learning about the antagonist and the protagonist. Characterization - Gingerbread Man

 Hello readers today I'm going to be making a new blog post about Characterization. Today I'm going to be doing a characterization blog about the ginger bread man. 

Who is the protagonist? The protagonist is the fox because he saved the day and ate the cheeky gingerbread man.

Who is the antagonist? The antagonist is the gingerbread man because he is bad and we don't want him to win.

The direct characterization of the old lady and the old man is lonely because the narrator said it.

The indirect Characterization of the gingerbread man is cheeky because if his face expression, he was fast because the horse couldn't run after him and he was easy to trick because he got trick by the smart fox.

Character Words.

Hello readers today I'm going to be making a new blog post about Drama, This term me are going to be doing drama. Today we are learning about Character Words. What we do in character words are Summarizing the roles of the characters.

Character Words 

Protagonist  The protagonist is the main character or the good guy of the story. Like Lightning Maqueen.

Antagonist The Antagonist is the bad guy, the people will want the antagonist to lose because this role is being the bad guy. Like Loki.

Narrator The narrator is the guy that talks in the background, the narrator summaries the story. Like " It was a nice day but suddenly....."

Flat Character The flat character is the character that doesn't develop. Like Juliette's mother.

Dynamic Character A dynamic character is a small character that does a big thing. Like Ebeneezer Scrooge

Static Character A static character is a character that doesn't change until the end of the movie Like Scar in lion king he was still a bad guy.

Round Character A round character is the star of the story, Like  Elizabeth Bennet in Jane Austen's Pride

Last 2 weeks we chose some very bad crisis that is happening in New Zealand to learn about. Earthquake on Otautahi/Christchurch.

 Hello readers today I'm going to be making a new blog post about reading, This week we are working about the earthquake on 2011 here in Christchurch. The earthquake was horrible because a lot of people died. We are also working an earthquake on Otautahi. Here is what i did: 

• How have the Christchurch earthquakes had an impact on our city? The earthquakes have ruined the city because some of the buildings fell down and a lot of people really got hurt.

• What positive or negatives have come from the quakes? Some of the buildings that fell down is now recovered because the local fixed it.

• What are some changes that citizens have made to prevent damage happening from potential future earthquakes? They could make the building wider not bigger so it doesn’t fall down

Solar Oven - Science

 Hello readers today I'm going to be making a new blog post about Science, last week we made some solar ovens to use to heat up food. Today is a nice day because its warm and sunny outside. We made some smores, we put the smores in the solar oven for 10 minutes. We also used magnifying glasses to melt the marshmallows. Stand Up!

 Hello readers Today I'm going to be making a new blog post about Stand Up!. We have been reading about protests. We get to do a non fiction bingo, we needed to pick 3 activities and them do them. Here is what I did. Interesting fact.

The most interesting facts that are learnt from the story is the history. What stood out to me was that the women were not allowed to vote and I think it’s unfair. What also stood me out was the Springbok rugby team,  the rugby game stopped then the people started to protest.the people from South Africa were divided by the color. The black Africans were divided with the white ones.

What I learnt.

 2 information that I learnt from the text is women in the olden days were not allowed to vote and the people from South Africa were divided by the color of their skin. The black Africans were divided with the white South Africans.

Opinion.

The South Aftrican division was not fair because the black people were separated from the white people. It's very uncomfortable because they don’t get to do what the white people do.

Strike -  People with jobs demanding because they weren't getting paid much. Ex: The teachers did the strike because they weren't getting paid that much.

Protest- Protest is people gathering together and fighting together, their kind of fighting together is not violent.

Suffrage-  Suffrage is not having the right legal right to vote like the women suffrage here in NZ.

Unions- Unions are a lot of people joining together or protesting together.

Great Depression- Great depression is people getting their jobs taken away from them.

Hikoi- people having protests at the same time and it also means marching in a group

The protest that I will be supporting is the Women's Suffrage, I’m going to be supporting this protest because I think it’s not fair for women not having the right to vote. The women did a really big protest here in New Zealand and they were allowed to vote by the government. New Zealand was the first country that allowed women to vote. This changed the history because now women can vote.

Creative Writing.

 Hello readers, today I'm going to be doing Creative Writing, my creative writing is about my pipe. cleaner ninjas and the photos that I took. I went to the giant world, I went there to get a really important thing. I was going to get water from the giant river. This contains a lot of calcium, If you drink this water you will be strong. I’m getting it to sell to wrestlers. The only thing is if you drink too much you will turn into stone. There was a giant coming towards me. It looked like l It was very hungry and thirsty. He was rushing to get water. I saw his foot above me and then I rushed to get some water, I lifted he's foot and threw him to the ground. When he was unconscious I put a gallon of water into his mouth. He woke up and thanked me. I went back to my place with 5 gallons of water in the back of my truck and sold all of them.

Car Shopping.

 Hello readers today I'm going to be making a new blog post about car shopping, it was pretty easy because we got to work in groups. There are three people in each groups and we needed to look for a car that is good. When the teacher told us to look for a good car I was happy because I know good cars. But she said that we had a budget for $6,000. We looked for cars and we looked for a cheap car with a really good safety rating. Each people in my group had a job, one is looking for the cars, one is looking for the insurance and one is looking for the insurance. What I learnt from the activity is we don't need to spend a lot of money to buy a good car.  Here is what we found.
