Hello readers today I'm going to be making a new blog post about chemistry. Today is our 2nd day of term 3 and we were learning about convection and conduction. Convection and conduction are ways that can pass on heat and energy. Convection refers to the form of heat transfer in which energy transition occurs within the fluid. When an object is heated up, the particle in it moves faster as they gain energy. These particles also try to spread out as the gaps between particles get bigger. In simple words passing energy using heat. Convection passes energy through contact. The heat transfer takes place due to the difference in temperature. Thermal conductor can pass on heat, stove top, fry pan. Thermal insulator does not pass on heat ex.. paper, plastic, rubber, ceramic, wood, blanket, jacket, wool. We lit the tea bags on and when the teabag got enough heat it went up the ceiling. I think that its just like how the hot air balloon works.
The End.
