Hello readers today I'm going to be making a new blog post about science. We we're learning about space, It was fun. Here is what I did about it.

What is a solar system? A Solar system is a group of planets with a sun.

What is a milky way? Milky way is our galaxy, in our galaxy there are billions of star and in the universe there are billions of galaxies. 

What is a star? A star is ball of gas, It’s made out of helium and hydrogen.

A nebula is a nursery for stars.

Hello readers today I'm going to be making a new blog post about 4 Food Groups Meal Plan. We have been making healthy meals for the for the whole day. We are doing thing to teach people how to have a healthy lifestyle. The thing that I found challenging was looking for the healthy foods, I found this challenging because I forgot to read the instructions and did my own work.

Gold Rush.

Hello readers today I'm going to be making a new blog post about Reading we have been reading about Gold Rush. 

1. In the 1861 people in New Zealand found gold. A guy named Gabriel Read discovered it. 

2. People from Dunedin come to roads from Otago. The road was dangerous, people from overseas went to the mine. There we're Chinese, Australians and Californians. 

3. They saw the Chinese people and realized that they we're different from them. 

4. This is very sad because the Chinese people had the same intention with the New Zealanders. 

5. The Chinese people had to do the risky stuff like going down the mine. 

6. The Otago gold rush peaked in the mid 1860, after which miners left in large numbers for the new West Coast goldfields.

 7. The name of the mine is Gabriel's Gully.

8. Some Chinese people died,  so they made their own village or camp to get away from the New Zealanders. This is what we read. Please comment on my blog post BYE.

Hello readers today I'm going to be making a new blog post about Science, we have been doing flag signs and we we're supposed to figure out the answer. First we made flags, we practiced the animal word we we're going to do we did dog. It was tricky even though there was only 3 letters. We split up, we we're on the other side. They got our animal word quickly because we have a site that tells it. Then is was their turn, we got the word and it was fish. I was very easy. This is what we have been doing today.

Hello readers today I'm going to be making a new blog pot about Science we have been researching about the rover going to Mars. The name of the rover is perseverance a kid named its Alexander Mather.  Here is what I did 

The mission launch will happen on the 30th of July 2020, it will arrive on Mars on February 18 2021. 

Curiosity has 17 cameras on it,  and it can go for 30 meters per hour.

Perseverance is doing something difficult or achieving success. It's also the name of the rover.

Launch Location: Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida

Landing Site: Jezero Crater, Mars

The Main Job of The Perseverance rover is to seek signs of ancient life and collect rock and soil samples and get all the samples back to earth.

Hello readers, today I'm going to be making a new blog post about Mars, we are going to be reading a journal about becoming a Martian and we are going to be looking for the answers on it.

When can a mission to Mars or from Mars happen? Any mission to Mars can only leave Earth  or return from Mars every twenty-six months,  Why? Because Mars is far away from earth. 

What are two Geological Feature of Mars? Mars is known as the red planet because of the tremendous amounts of iron oxide. Mars has the biggest volcanoes in the solar system.


What is one possible solution from the story about oxygen on Mars? Carbon dioxide CO2 is made up of both carbon and oxygen. NASA has a machine called MOXIE.

If it doesn't rain on Mars, where does the water come from? So if it doesn't rain on Mars you can burn the ice and it will turn to water vapor.

How will people get food on Mars? The people could use Hydroponics to grow food What is a possible solution? Using Hydroponics to grow food on mars will work because the heat on mars is almost the same level at earth's.

Arts Kete

Hello readers today I'm going to be making a new blog post about arts kete. What I did on arts kete was steam it means science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

 We were making things by using the objects that are available. We did cars, We used the plastic bottle cups as the wheels and I made the body of the car with a big piece of cardboard.

 It was a competition, we won the race and we got extra points. The last thing we did was marble, it was the most challenging one because there was only two of us working and the others we're in a trip.

to paint it then try it if the marble will reach the bottom. The longest marble to get down the marble run wins. We didn't do it cause we were out of time. We displayed it in the learning commons so the visitors can see what we did for arts kete.

Learning Story.

My Learning Story
Hurumanu: Poetic Arts
Name: Alex	Teachers: bh,ds,sc,hh.			Term	2020
Reflection: Give at least three examples in each of the boxes below.
What We Did:   Our learning was based on two stories  ‘Taniwha at Rakaia Gorge’ and ‘The Creation of Tuna’ What we did  was read about the creation of tuna. Last thing we did was Tapa art. We did Haiku poems. We did water coloring.
What I Learned:   I learned that haiku poems didn’t need to rhyme, the structure of the haiku poem is 575 this means 5 syllables on the top 7 syllables on the middle and 5 syllables on the bottom.    I learnt that the diamante poem looks like a diamond, that is why it is called the diamante poem it’s shaped like a diamond. In your First word, it needs to be the main character.  I learned that tapa art is a maori tradition thing, tapa is made out of bark. We paint the tapa with crayon and then paint it with black paint. My Favourite Part:  My favourite part was making the poem because it was cool, it’s also my favourite because I love reading poems.   My favourite part was watching the people that were using these poems. I also like blogging the poems because I get to make my own. My favourite part of doing the tapa art was painting, this is my favourite part because I like painting and drawing. My other favourite thing was making my designs.
My Next Steps:  I think I need to work more on my painting because even if I like doing it I still need to improve.  I need more work on making poems one of my poems didn’t make sense but I fixed it. I need more working on creativity for my blog.
